Reaction zones...pretty

I found this picture just now, this was an old Bauhinia, had been mutilated in the past and I cut it out.
The reaction zone colouration was pretty I thought!

I kept a slice but it stank like cat's pee when I cut it and thereafter every time it got wet...

Yes, I left it propped against a tree down at the dock where we used to tie up our boat, but then I thought some fishermen might use it for a cutting board and then wonder why their fillet tasted so rank later...so it went bye bye.
 
Very pretty! A good advertisement for proper pruning/avoiding big cuts.
