I have one and love it too. I'm not sure I've used my electric bench sharpener since I got it.

We have been using them since last fall, and I like it. It is much easier for people new to sharpening. You still have to round the rakers a touch here and there, but that's no biggie.

I love my Pferd. I have the basic ones, where you have to flip the files, but they work great. I imagine the CS-X is even better and likely sturdier.

I've never used a grinder or a guide for a file, not that there's anything wrong with with them. the guy who taught me is kinda old school. but my saw sure does rip
