Tree felling vids

Jew guys crack me up! Burnham, that is not a sawzall, much nicer tool to rape handle bars with! If I can find the piece maybe I'll send it to you for shock and awe!

Nicer??? Oh my hurtin' heart. This is still a horrible thing for me to contemplate, taking a sawsall to a proper 3/4 wrap handle.

OK, I can swallow, barely, the decision a sawyer might make to run a standard handle on a saw, given they live in a miserable flat place...even if that still means they have reduced their options of truly ergonomic saw deployment to next to nothing.

But to rape a perfectly good 3/4 wrap handle for expediency, argued for by ground grunges...Willie, you tax my patience, much as I admire you, friend.
:P
:D

Now THAT was a right-proper ass chewin'. Keep up on him, boys... Keep up on him. Can't just let a man slowly drift back over to the dark side and so permanently tarnish his once impeccable reputation... Too much at stake.

interesting basket catch at 6:40... I've never seen anything like it.. of course the idea "why didn't you just take another few feet off" comes to mind.. still thought you might like to chew on this one.. Obviously extreme dynamic forces on the rope.

Awful workers Dan... anyway here is an awesome drone vid by Don Nix.

That was AWESOME!!!
Great point of view to see how/what was being done. That's some nice rigging and rope work.
Loved it! :thumbup::D

The drone video is pretty cool. Damn big trees.
The video prior has some shiny equipment. You would think in making a promotional video that you would make sure there were no noticeable safety violations.

Wow, that drone vid was cool. Man, who would have thunk that a go pro would be old-school. Man, that was really cool.

Wish I could say the same for the guy's hinge that he had the audacity to give a thumbs up to! Man....!!!!! Gerry could cut a better hinge if he were stone drunk.

That Don Nix video was great, I know with these straight as a die conifers forces are more easily predicted, but holy moly they were big! Great work.
Drones are going to change our tree climbing/cutting viewing habits.

Those were old-growth redwoods, man! Where the heck were the protestors at?

Beautiful vid. And yes, the 'drones' are opening a whole new perspective in recording our everyday work. Though I really do not condone the word 'drones' in this application. They are 'aerial viewing platforms: all for good and education.

To me, drones, has an evil connotation. I believe the distinction should be made between the two in any casual conversation about the tool. Otherwise you're a terrorist if you have a drone.
