I keep my buddy's photo on my desk top. Charly was only in country three months before he died from small arms fire in Binh Duong Province, South Vietnam. Nicest guy, and a good friend. Bums me out whenever I look at his picture.

No, as I told about before, I returned my draft cards and got into trouble with the feds over it. Now, I would probably approach it differently, resign myself to go to try and help protect people like Charly, even if the conflict seemed without merit. I have to thank Nice Guy Dave for changing my thinking about it, but it was too late.

I saw him in a town hall in VT when I was a teen. I will never forget that feeling. He was like an extra Grandfather singing to me. He will be missed by the world.

Played at my Junior High School, High School, Community College...my folks took us to Carnagie Hall when I was maybe six...last two times I saw him were in Vermont
