The RIP Thread...

I read about a diver who watched as his buddy was bitten into 2 pieces by a White. Jim you can still let shots off underwater with a "power head" or "bang stick", generally a .303 or 12 guage shell is what they take.

It slowed this one down a bit. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/2569869/spear-fisherman-stabs-killer-bull-shark-mouth/

Mightn't look that big but a bull shark will kill you quick smart.

wow.

Here's another shark vid, pretty impressive. Action is from 1:45-2:45. 2 guys fishing in FL, from kayak and SUP, they hook a 4' shark and another one comes along and eats it in 2 passes.

Could you believe the way the bull shark gobbled up that half-a-shark in one bite like it was just a morsel??

Nightmarish, yes, and also utterly amazing. I can't think of the right words to spotlight the beastishness of a huge shark scarfing down an entire half shark in one bite, no chewing. It was just savage. I've heard life in the ocean is more brutal than terrestrial life, that vid would seem to back that up.

Orcas pack hunt as well , seen them in Monterey. Every so often a Whale Watch has boat full of horriffied passengers as Orcas get a Grey Whale.

If I had to come back as a sea creature, I'd want to be an Orca.

Land creature? Elephant.

Sky dweller? Eagle.

I compare Bull & Tiger sharks to saltwater crocodiles, if they see you they will go you- very little decision making process occurs. I remember a case a while back where a teenage girl had both her arms bitten off at the shoulder in a Bull shark attack, she bled out, absolutely brutal.

Just to get back on topic, Clare Hollingsworth is no longer with us.

Her most famous quote: 'I must admit I enjoy being in a war. I don’t know why. I’m not brave’

It's a shame how Jimmy Snuka ended up.

Mario Milano died on Christmas Eve at 81, I only just heard about it. He was Australia's favourite wrestler for a long time, even though he was really Italian. The ladies loved him (including my grandmother) and no one could believe it when he went to the dark side, but he came back after a few months and went on for years as a good guy.

Good story about him here. http://www.smh.com.au/comment/obitu...ano-became-migrants-hero-20161223-gthiko.html
