O.C.G.D. Thread, part two

 I only have 8 acres that aren't wooded too thick to drive the tractor on. My parents have 9 adjoining acres that are navigable by the tractor, but hardly anything is needed over there. The 9 acres at my parents are cut with a zero turn mower, and dad has a Ford/New Holland 3930 which has served us for the past 15 years.

I think I went a bit overkill for my personal needs, sure is fun though! Hopefully the business needs will develop to utilize the tractor's capacity.

Well...earlier this week I bought a Treemek from Tiffin Palfleet. It's a Mack MRU, Palfinger PK40 boom, PJ10 fly jib, and a Mecanil 280 grapple saw. ~90' of max side reach with the manual pullout, 84' of hydraulic side reach with a 1320lb capacity at 84', 3300lbs at 48' side reach and 48' height.

Nice buy Carl!

I was just show a friend a video of a truck looking just like that taking down some silver maples behind a house. Gerisimek I think.

That's an awesome rig.

You are not afraid to step past the line that most of us see. Very nice machine...the recent videos here (that Mick posted) were the first time I had seen such a beast. That should be a game changer, especially for dead, un-climbable trees. Looking forward to your action shots.

Where does he get those wonderful toys? Damnit Carl, I was hoping to beat you to one of these. I'm going out to watch the original treemek in action soon. We both know how "serious" my boss can be with things but I just wanna see it up close and watch it work. From what I've seen these things are awesomely built. Very well engineered machines. Even better, I can drive there to see them put it together. How long is the wait if one was to order it today? 3 months?

I think Stephen is going to need one for the pines that are getting too dead to climb. He could be the go.to guy for rotten trees.
