Another off the grid trip, camping and hiking Nevada

Do you have one hell of a telephoto lens or was that the world's friendliest bighorn sheep?

That was some spectacular scenery for sure.
It is nice to be reminded that I still have a LOT of the Western US to see.

Bristlecone pines are just so fantastic. Didn't know they were out there.

I learn something new every day, here.

That desert bighorn was fairly close, only about 150 feet away. My little point and shoot Canon does have a very good tele, too. The lighting was perfect, which helps immeasurably.

Indeed, Stig...amazing stuff out there.

We had some finer than frog's hair hikes, camps, and a bunch of drives across crazy empty country. Half a tank's range between gas stations. 50 miles of two lane highway traversed before seeing another vehicle...then another 50 before the next.

Most of Nevada is some way out there and really remote country.

Hate to be hearing about the horrible event in Las Vegas...that sort of insanity is deepest misery visited on the rest of us normal folk.
