Any TreeHousers In The Path?

I don't know what percent we were. It was neat but no big deal. One of my guys took the day off to go to 100%

Stopped by payroll and they were standing outside and let me look through their glasses. Then I found a good sale while getting a hose repaired...
Like the twilight zone around here driving around, everyone looking up to be programed by the sun

In the zero zone in Greenville SC. Several family groups came up last night...Approx 30% covered now.

Well, that was underwhelming.

The next one in 2024 will be a lot closer to me.

I hope I'm still around!

I was really interested.

A metal colander makes a cool pinhole image projector x100. You can make a pinhole projector with your hand, thumb and forefinger, and you create a crescent sunshine spot.

Had another family over, and a playdate out of it. 5 and 9y.o., plus neighbors and dogs. One stranger passerby stopped.

Leaf shadows on tree were weird.

Got cool.

Before and during the eclipse. Not total but it was cool, really, it cooled off about 20 degrees. The light was weird, very stressful on my eyes, not like sunset light.

Coffee, more coffee.

Stayed up too late being an insomniac, learning about very obscure things, followed up by Dahlia's excitement waking her up at 615am, so...

Totality was amazing. I've seen 95% or so once in the late 1970's, and yes it was underwhelming. This was a truly magic event. One of the very top tier experiences of my life.

We got another Cat man in da house

I wish I had enough money to afford Cat equipment. I was just the inspector on this job. I use to work for these guys so I showed up early and helped hook. After that I helped out on the landing. I still don't miss logging that much.

Landscape Mode

It blows my mind that (by now) people don't know to turn their camera sideways.
