I wondered if its a sign of piston rings going. Its pretty much original parts. Hard used, well maintained, good fuel, long life. Overdue for something more significant to go, I'd assume.
White smoke normally would indicate oil .Depends on the make as some would have a case gasket that includes the oil tank which could have slight failure of the gasket allowing some bar oil to migrate into the crankcase .
Some models use a pressurized oil tank that uses a check type valve to use crankcase impulse pressure and there could be a check valve failure which could allow it to suck bar oil .
