Any one of those. Gotta be in nice shape. Don't like the newer saws out. Want one of those.

This one would need some work, apparently the chain brake is in need of parts, but the price is not horrid and otherwise sounds pretty good.

This one looks great, but the price is pretty high.

Might be worth a look.

This may well be the sleeper in the crowd. Not real pretty, but otherwise sounds good to me and the price is not bad.

I can find several 046/460 in my area, but the prices are pretty much on the high side ($600-$750), although a couple of the saws look very nice. If you want I can link those up too, Chris. Seems these are less available, and maybe more desirable to more people than the bigger ones :).

It still has your name on it, Chris :D. If I'd not been pretty sure I had some few more years left in me to use it, I'd have offered it right up here.

I hope to be able to just send it your way when those days are past me and I'm aware of them having passed...but in case not, there is a note in my will to that effect, and my wife M or my nephew, legal executor, will see to it :D.

But that day is still in the future, and you need saws today. Any of those I linked perk your interest?

Chris you should post this on Cut4Fun's site chainsawrepair.com. I have bought a few saws from those guys. 2. 372xp and a 242/246 frankensaw. Prices were very reasonable and I am sure you can find a guy closer to you. The guy I was dealt with was in NY.

Those most definitely would need to go to someone with way more music in their soul than I have ever harbored!

But neither Butch nor I are anywhere close to having to worry about this sort of stuff, I trust :).

That looks like it's lightly used, which is good. But it's a 660, which in stock form is a bare shadow of the 066 from which it descended. Not to say it's not redeemable with mods to the muffler at the least and even better with some real porting work, but those are the facts. Another $XXX (at a WAG, $100 to $300, depending on how deep you want to go with it) on top of that asking price, to give you a top performing saw of that displacement??? Too much moolah, I think.

And then there is the B&C supplied...that powerhead in proper order is a waste on 24 inch imltho, so many cutters would have to replace that with something at least 28, if not 32 inches. Another $125 out the door.

Not one I would choose first off, given Chris's OP premise. An 066 in decent shape is a better starting place.

I'm shying away from out of state Craigslist buys. I feel better buying blind from a member on here. Though I know that's not 100% safe.

Guys selling them on my Chainsaw Repair facebook group all the time. Over 14,000 members there. Chit happens so fast.

Seen a 441 sell in 2mins. If I dont buy saws in first hour posted I like, the vultures get them.

None on my CR website though right now. Use it now to save info from the FB group so not to get lost so quickly.

So many good deals on Craigslist. Guy just bought a like new 460 and 360 for $900 for both. Your missing out if your not searching CL IMO. Slim picking here.

We've got a 660 we're looking to sell. We bought it rebuilt last year and only used it a dozen times or so. Let me know if you're interested and I'll take some pictures, the handle is bent a bit.
