It doesn't seem to have the sharp jagged edges like the siberian elm. I will take a closer pic of the leaf. Back in 3 weeks to prune.

Need a close up of the leave margins and especially the bottom of the leaf where it meets the petiole.

Tri lobed but not usual suspects of rubrum, x freemani, saccharinum, and prob not buergerianum. Hmmmm...

This is from a friend's picture so I can't provide any detail about the tree they are from. Could they be some kind of aspen?

Haven't been on here in what seems like forever. Any ideas on what this tree is. It stumped me as well as a 40 year timber buyer and my father as well didn't think to take any pics of the buds or twigs. Beautiful red autumn leaves is about all the info I've gotten from home owner. And possibly small red berries. I'm stumped haven't ever seen one before.

I agree. I've just been busy. Bought a trailer, chopped up a trailer, then rebuilt it lol. Finally said to heck with hunting a mentor to learn the trade under. Done 5-6 removals. Turned down at least that many. Taking it slow and staying away from what I'm not comfortable with or equipped to do. Loving every second of it too

Here is the trailer.

And what I did with it.

What's left of the mystery tree.

Thanks.

Found out a little more on my mystery tree. Simple, narrow slightly toothed leaves. Green in summer and red in the fall. No berries. Here is a piece from one of the branches. I wish I could find a leaf from it. It's driving me crazy. I'm guessing maybe sourwood?

One possibility may be Blackgum/ Water Tupelo (Nyssa Sylvatica).
