Here's Part One

:drink:

Oh boy.

At 49min there is some excellent log rolling taking place.

Ummmm. Damn. After all that they still busted the water. Ida put crane money on that sucka.

It was a bit painful to skim through. Looked like a not very well orchestrated crew from the bits I saw.

Big tree though!

I missed the log rolling......I missed quite a few parts to be honest.

Sorry, Butch, but I couldn't finish either one. Lots of enthusiasm and fancy equipment and not enough experience. The climber needs to take some time to learn how to use spurs. His right knee is not going to last.

I don't climb pines like him.

No need to be sorry, mate!

I didn't finish them, either!

About wierdest gotcha i had was a slow drop, still connected to stump and water at stump;
Roots were wrapped around pipe, stump was controlling fall anchored to roots, shifted and broke pipe with no ground damage.
.
Damage to customer side of main so i fixed.
Here, with main broke before meter, would think city fix.
.

Another time i had worked 2 days rigging massive live oak branches from over house;
every move, rig perfect, people watching etc.
This thing was massive, i had even put this off some. Largest limb was almost U shaped over house.
.
Final cut, i maid was a stob from previous tree guy, simple 20' from ground, at tree, simplest/lowest/smallest thing cut in 2 days.
.
That damn stob, fell, walked to side, end over end tumbling, between 2 bushes;
then walked up 3 stairs and then the kamikaze threw itself into a $600 plate glass window like some perfect storm of forces!

For those who love the quick action and the short vids, here's the third part with grinding the stump ::|:

Now, a little gift :P : the utility crew fixing the broken water line (interesting though).

Yowzers. I wonder how the dollars flowed on that tree? Likely like the water. Lol. Freely and downhill.

You wanna know what's more painful than grinding stumps with a low HP machine?

Watching a video of somebody grinding with a low HP machine.

Totally agree, MB, the work as physically demanding as it is on almost every level, being mutually supportive is where it's at. What mom said too, saying please and thank you.
