Had to climb this, just to cut a half dozen oversize branches...its been clobbered by storms so many times its pretty much a frankentree!

Wow how was the ascent?
I always just climb em like a ladder and it still is a major pita.
Seems like I would break alot of branches off during ascent.

Ascent was OK as the up side of my rope was mainly outside the branches, but it wasn't till I got near the top I could see what it was going over so there was a little bit of trepidation.
It has a bad case of scale too so full of sooty mood.
Yes the branches are heavy! Just stroke them with the saw and they go with a bang. Bit of a zig zag coming down to get to the branches I had to cut. Canopy tie would have been well nigh impossible.
Thank goodness for SRT.
