Snakes were out early this year. This brown was relocated from a shed a bit south of town and Spring was more than a week away, 23 August.
Don't think there'd be any mice left in there.

Sorta like most tree guys and gals love trees even though they cut down thousands of them, this major elk hunter saves a moose calf

Off the bat, I can think of 4 species of birds that he hasn't mentioned.

There's been a few Hendra outbreaks in recent years near here.


  • Symptoms typically develop between 5 and 21 days after contact with an infectious horse.
  • Fever, cough, sore throat, headache and tiredness are common initial symptoms. Meningitis or encephalitis (inflammation of the brain) can develop, causing headache, high fever, and drowsiness, and sometimes convulsions and coma.
  • Hendra virus infection can be fatal.
