In The News...

I remember! Not those prices though. You might get a piece or two of counter candy for 5¢-10¢, but that's about it. The first town I moved to when I went out on my own had an old school indie 5&10. The whole town was pretty old school. IOW, it's better days had passed at that point(it's upscale now), but it was like stepping back a bit in time. I loved it there. Some of the best times in my life were from that period. Didn't have hardly any money, but life was grand :^)

Makes me wonder what Walt Disney's thoughts were on sports betting.........

Personally I've been disgusted by CA's whole hearted marriage to gambling at 7/11 since 1983......

We seem to have no moral or ethical guidelines to follow anymore......

Feeling stressed n anxious?

We have a pill for that, only 19.95 per pill........

The local news station here delivers their weather reports from the Jamul Casino's parking lot........

My point was it gets sold quite regularly. and there are different treaties/reasons for it.

I don't see getting together with others who have stockpiles (China, Japan, India, South Korea and the United Kingdom) and adding to supply, hopefully to make a point to producers who refuse to increase production, as a necessarily bad thing.

Folks complain about the price of fuel...hat should we do? Sit on our hands and let price increases continue? Even US producers have refused any significant increase in production.

Trump sold some off (at really low-price; bad deal) to finance some road work
Obama agreed to Congress' bipartisan decision to go along with the rest of the petroleum importing nations to decrease stockpiles regularly through 2027
Bush depleted reserves to finance & support his Middle East war.

We were energy independent just a year or so ago, what changed?

Oil companies despise democrats!

So does Wall Street......

Usury's become an accepted n cherished republican principle, trumping their fiscal conservative past...

Let our great grandchildren pay our bar tab.......

Both political parties have gone off the rails since NAFTA became law.......

Bi partisan treason, all nice n legal........

I'm for GREEN. I really like GREEN! Seriously. What's not to like about being GREEN!

But for crying out loud, for the sake of GREEN don't cut off your nose to spite your face!

I believe the transition to GREEN can be mitigated in a fair and timely fashion without the crippling economic impacts being put on the working poor in this great nation, as well worldwide.

Heck, I starting to sound like a lefty.

We're all prawns in the game. Always will be.

Cocktail sauce with your prawns, Sir?

I thought prawn was unintended till the last line. Well done, Sir!
Green is good, but with China consuming 3+ billion tonnes of coal for the next couple of decades, I dont see how deliberately sacrificing Canada's /USA's economy on the climate altar is gonna do didley squat.

They should have to pay surveyors to physically mark out the congressional lines on the ground. That'll fix those sprawling jagged maps right quick.
