Gaza 43 dead etc.

At about 1 min and especially at 9min 40 sec it shows the use of slings for throwing rocks. Has anyone ever seen this before?

Aside from the obvious jokes about their weapons evolving I can't remember ever having seen it and always wondered why they just threw rocks by hand when slings are so far superior.

Interesting story of an inside guy who figured out how to hack the lottery.

Very interesting.

There is an Articles Thread here somewhere, you could post it there making it easier to find or reference.

Yeah. Now most people know better, presumably.

Was it cool being out there in the middle of no where? See any whales or some such chit?

Flying fish and porpoises.

It was just a job. It didn't even really matter that you were on a ship. You worked, ate, slept just like anywhere else.

Makes sense.

Btw porpoises out in the middle of nowhere, or closer to land?

Heck, I don't remember. Dolphins, maybe...

No whales, for sure. I imagine we ran them off!

Back in the 70's, as I recall, 1 article in the news media caught my attention, still to this day, about scientists experimenting with with rats where they let them go in an environment with everything the rats needed to thrive, but only in a limited area. The results, they said, led quickly to many social disorders.

There's a story in there somewhere.

When I moved out of the City of Chicago to a town of 25K "townies" and 25K college students, I said about Chicago, if it were rats that packed in, instead of people, and they'd be chewing each others' tails off.
