In The News...

Women's rights, Indian's rights, Worker's rights, Gay rights... on and on and on.... What about just plain "People's rights?" Play no favorites. Everybody get the same.

Hell yah. I've landed myself in some uncomfortable conversations over the years with that same attitude. Up here we're all Canadians IMO and the past is the past. Deal with it. Everyone should be treated as equals IMO, and if a culture can't sustain itself(thinking of the natives here in particular) then it becomes known as history and should be studied in school, while the world moves on.

I pretty much echo your thoughts Justin.

I would add that I'd rather read a true history as opposed to one crafted by only the winners though.

Lots of people do it and seem to really like it, I checked it out on the web one day. I wonder if it's illegal to watch in those states? Maybe if you said for scientific study, like the locals here say when killing whales. That's what Pete Townshend said when they found child pornography on his computer, apparently it got him off.

Yeah. It only got him off from the heavy hand of the law because he's a famous celebrity. Normally they'd say, "Yeah sure uh huh ".

This is interesting, I hope it works!]

Skepticism is often warranted, but there seems a lot of jealousy among researchers in the scientific community. Someone comes up with something new and many of the other guys working in the same field have a heart attack.

Makes sense. Seems like it would be a good thing for everyone if it worked. But that's probably naive thinking.

Yes, Bob, but did you notice that there is a guy from India on the team. That pretty much makes the results they've published likely. Those guys that want to can definitely be scholastic achievers. Dad and mom slave in the old country to put their son through school to have a better life, and he wants to show that he's grateful, so he invents metallic hydrogen. A good boy that makes his peeps at home proud.
