How to store and transport spurs?

I just got my first pair of spurs and have used them a couple of times. They work great, but I worry every time I put them in a box or bag with my climbing equipment that they are tearing my other gear up. Does anyone have a good trick for storing and transporting spurs?

I gave up years ago worrying about that, but if you do a couple of wine corks pressed onto the gaffs will help you sleep at night.

Pencil top erasers, but i use the leather and velcro covers, work great, weaver I believe. I also keep em in their own bag...

Thanks for the replies! I guess I'll just shove some sort of cover on the actual gaffs and not worry about it anymore!

I hang mine in the truck, away from textiles, etc.

Garden hose and black magic (electric tape) if I have to pack pole spurs.

I only have one set of leather/ velcro, and they only fit on tree spurs.

I was hoping Burnham would repost his pics... here it is.

Found a $9 toolbox at wallyworld that's exactly 19 inches long - they fit in perfectly, no wiggle or chance of tearing anything else up!
