Seen them on landscape/lawn service trailers. Seems to help the back out at the end of the day.
The only bad thing I have seen is if the cable gets snagged by the machine being off loaded.

I used them before and they do their job
Used them on the stump grinder trailer ramp and they are worth every penny. That damn ramp weighed a ton but with the Gorilla lift you get off the ground with just a flick of your toe. Used them for over 7 years without any problems.
