Over the water, on the water and under the water

Ha! Yep, any port in a storm...working to learn how to be a better island for him.

Show those boys the movie "one breath" story about William trubridge...Freediver. Pretty interesting on mind control under water

Great clips, looks like you guys are having an awesome time. I love hopping in the pool with my boy and my father. I really like the sunken tubing!

I'll checkout the Trubridge, John. Freediving is pretty radical stuff.

Thanks for chiming in, DT...you are right...lots of fun gets had in that pool. The tube suspended underwater they call Parkour Island. I have a right angle to put about 4 feet away...at 2-3 foot section that requires a right angle turn into another 2-3 foot section to transit the piece...kind of an underwater playground.

Here is some footage of playing with the sand jug anchors for the tubes...Hayden is learning to take very quick "bites" of air...good air discipline.

And here is where Landon got a leg cramp and got in a bit of trouble...at first I thought he was playing but realized he was not smiling like he normally does (even underwater!). About 25 seconds into the video he gets a cramp and I had to assist him to the side. His "froggy" kick he made up is marginally efficient at best...with a cramp it wasn't enough.

You got to watch those young'uns pretty close.

Has he learned how to float on his back if he gets in trouble. Pretty good skill if you find yourself tired or catch a cramp

Not yet...if he is in the water he is moving. Hayden can do it...Landon still learning to relax.

Still working on the Monkey Slide...here is more underwater playground fun for now:

Hayden is getting good at swimming with his new toy...a jug full of sand!

Cool and some kind of achievement, but I'd hate to be a neighbor and have that thing be the view of the lake.

Gawd-a-mighty!!! That's cool! Ours is coming along...we have all the parts connected. I talked to Alex today and found out he got it secure enough that he tested it a few days ago. The latest added tube took it from "radical" to almost "terrifying"...his words. It's pretty hard to rattle him so that means a lot.

He plans to raise the very end about 4 feet higher where you get dumped into the pool...and lower the entrance tube some...that will bleed some of the speed that is making the last 10 feet a monkey flipping nightmare. At present when you hit the last section there is a slight turn left and it whips you way up high into the top of the tube and monkey flips you sideways as you exit...pretty disconcerting. We are going to take some of the disconcertedness (aka "terror") out of it.

Sounds frigging awesome! Unless of course you're monkey flipping out of or into the edges of the pool.

yeah...we are cognizant of the hydroplane aspect. I told Alex if that becomes a problem I'll just hang a tarp to crash into so you drop into the water and not shoot across the pool.

Still tuning the slide. Todd volunteered to see if it was still insanely terrifying or just terrifying. Working out way towards just frightening....

No way. We will lower the entrance a bit and raise exit a bit to bleed some of the terrifying out of it

That would be me specking Southern...:D

Laughing at my brother, Todd, being a test dummy.

(You may have already seen this in "How'd it go today?" thread...same post.)

We added the second tube to the underwater playground. The kids are getting comfortable in the water. Summer fun....real-life skills!
