North Central Montana, bloody cold!
My buddy and I are trying to figure out how to mix gas for a rescue saw built on the 670 platform. The manual tells us to mix 100:1 synthetic oil or 50:1 petroleum. Sounds outrageous to us. We want to mix it heavier than 50:1 for a safety margin. What do you guys think? We are pretty sure it is hot rodded and dont want to take the chance of hurting it with too little oil. Seems like the company is trying to sell more saws with a mix at 100:1.

50:1 should be just fine. I don't buy into the heavy mixing of oil, but if you do, then set the carb for that ratio and run only that ratio.

My GasGass trials bike was 100:1. It did not like more oil. However, it also didn't hit 10,000 rpm either.
