Stihl 201 upgrade kit

I was just sharpening my upgraded 201 and looked at the date on it, it says 2012 but I think I got it in January 2013.

So 4 years later it has not missed a beat, never been in the repairers, unlike my 200s which only seemed to last a couple of years at best, now, I'll confess I alternate it with another 201, from 2013 which is post upgrade and has also never been in the repairers (apart from a broken handle, my fault) but still, a bloody brilliant pice of engineering.

I didn't read all the posts here but my saw shop sold me that kit maybe 1 1/2 years ago. It made no difference in the performance at all.

Bizarre, for everyone else it made a world of difference.

It is bizarre. I've feel like I've had a run of bad luck with saws over the last 2 years. I thought it was me at first but now I'm not so sure. My 562 with the auto tune is the greatest saw ever. If it starts! but it is so unreliable that I always need a backup for it.
