Here is my second attempt at making a splicing video. Hopefully more interesting than watching paint dry. <2 minutes!

More edge of your seat splicing action! I tried to register a web site to sell these things but apparently splicesbynick.com is sold. Splicesbybonner.com it is!

Another double braid, 3/4" Husky Bull rope. Produced the video differently, different camera and angles etc.

Thanks for taking the time to make such a nice video for us, Nick. Much appreciated.

The best teachers in the world are on the internet. They teach because they love doing it......not for the money, nor the pensions.

Great video.

Thanks a lot guys.

I dont know if I qualify as a teacher, being that I just started doing it myself. I am an obsessive archivist though! I do love making the video content, and am really enjoying the splicing, its like magic and science combined. Now that I know how to do it I will most likely go splice crazy and start making things I dont need at all, just because I can.

I got a really generous offer from Ian of Iron Street Splicing to do some gratis break testing and documentation as well, so I think I will definitely do that as well. Not to the level that commercial splicers do, but definitely a few to lend confidence to the craft.

Nice videos Nick. I especially like the second one.

Sounds like you've got the splicing bug. I remember when I first got it I was splicing everything in sight!

Nick,

Just wondering if you've tried putting a tight eye in a hank of Samson's 24-strand Vortex rope. I'm interested in knowing how much more difficult that would be to work with.

Great videos.

Joel- it's easy as blaze. Easier than tachyon. Easier than velocity. Not as easy as rigging line like double esterlon or stable braid.

nice video, but why the thick pen marks on the cover? I like to keep mine small so they don't show up so much when its finished
not a criticism, different strokes for different folks I guess
nice to briefly meet you at the apf, we chatted about the grcs and reg's new winch attachement
