Actually, I couldn't agree more.

I live in a mostly gun free society, meaning that if I confront a stranger about something, I don't have to worry about guns.
If it is a stranger from the pool of arabs, africans, or any of the other folks of muslim ilk that we have let in, I'll have to worry about a knife.

I've spent my adult life training to handle those confrontations, that is my way of "concealed carry".

We rural folks have a whole different attitude and expectation regarding police response times. Best case in my neck of the woods, might be 30 minutes...more likely 45 to an hour.

I remain armed here at home, though I don't own nor certainly don't carry a pistol. Nobody will act out in the face of a cut down 12 gauge, of that I am fairly certain. And I keep that rascal handy enough to feel comfortable ;).

Of course, there is always the "stick", as advocated by my father. More in line with Stig's approach. I'm comfortable with that defense/offense tool, too.
I don't have Stig's skills, so I have to make do :).

Not to forget the 4 inch folding lockblade I've taken to carrying in public these last several years. That, and a strong sense of situational awareness leaves me to conclude that I think I'm armed sufficiently.

Situational awareness is key.

I could be walking down the street armed like Rambo, but if I an in condition white...........even old Stig could get the drop on me.

Thank god I have never had to shoot anyone. Been close a couple of times.

Had a gal tell me one time that she and her friends were going to shoot me for trespassing. I told her to get after it.

I was serious....she was only sort of serious.

I agree with Burnham and his dad...a stick can be handy:

Though if it needs to be a bit more serious...

The old GRCS bar makes a pretty good stick if need be, mine lays beside a machete behind the drivers seat

Guns are pretty uncommon here compared to the states, must be nice to know you could control almost any situation should it arise. In all honesty though, its also pretty nice to know that you are unlikely to be shot at...

I guessed that, as they didn't seem to have a real prototype, just a digital one. Great concept though, it'll be a hit.

I was wondering the other day if a drone could set a throwline? We should ask August if he will do the testing.
