Yeah I love his YouTube channel, he really goes all out. I could do without the eating rats thing he does, but eh lol.
 
I watched a film about a guy who survived in the wild from eating field mice. He was starving and he saw a wolf chowing down on them, in the snow.

Can't think of the name...

Looks to me like the cowboy has the more comfortable seat. The dressage gaits are beautiful, but not as smooth.
 
You'd never use passage as a working gait.
That is for showing off, nothing else.

Western riding is more comfortable, and that is what I'd do if Margot wasn't into dressage.
When I retire, I might buy a Quarter horse for myself and start playing cowboy again.
 
I love neck reining, and moreso even a bit heavier bit with a lighter hand and a well trained up horse. When you start to communicate effectively and the horse really starts to get conditioned it's such a beautiful natural feeling of responsiveness. There's nothing like it when it all comes together. My beast is loose and unruly right now, which leads to a heavier leg, heel, and hand. My own fault for not keeping him in top game.
