This woman is the absolute best woodcarver in Denmark.
I've known her a real long time and have given her a lot of good linden/basswood logs and boards over the years.
When I sold off my hoard of wood, because I thought I'd be moving to Schweiz, I let her have all the special blocks and boards, that I didn't want to just sell to anybody.

The video has English subtitles.

She carved the heart for this covered bowl, that I made for my beloved.

Great time lapse video.

That’s an awesome bowl Stig and the mural she was carving is crazy. The only thing I was ever good at carving is sharp sticks.

Stig, are you able to cut a small bowl blank out of the center of that bowl, above? Does all of the inner part of the bowl just become shavings?

Nope, I have a bowlsaver, so I can utilize it.

I used the Kel McNaughton system which is really excellent, but sold it along with a load of other tools when I thought I was moving to Schweiz.

Now I just have a system like this: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/PQROtnJlVcQ" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Thanks Stig. That's very informative. I had heard that there was a way to save some material. That saves a huge amount of the material.

Hey Jimbo!

I didn't know you were so smooth, but then I remembered you're a bass player!

I am Hunter: whaling video (and walrus, seal) was excellent. So different from what most of us experience...they are very tuned in to their Nature.
