Nice picture. How did you catch him?

They're not too difficult to catch when they're on the ground. They don't have so much fear of people so it's possible to get quite close to them. If I remember correctly, the trick was to kind of nonchalantly sneak up behind and then quickly grab them. It's important to right away get ahold of the beak so they can't bite or peck, and to gently capture their wings against the body to prevent injuring them. The tagging and measurement were then done as quickly as possible and the bird was released.

Jesus, talk about a kinetic sculpture, pretty cool. It appears to be a talent show of some sort, with the usual "stars" in attendance. i hadn't seen it before. That balancer won over eighty grand. Variety and talent shows are kind of the big thing now.

couldn't be that a sort of collecting funds show for some humanity cause?
We have one like that every year in France named "Telethon". A very big show on TV during more than one day and supported by local manifestations all over the country.
People give a lot of money to fight against the myopathy and other low occurrence sickness.

That concrete tent is a super cool idea. Awesome for humanitarian situations for sure. I wouldn't mind putting one on my property in NM.

"Collecting funds show"...... Nice idea. I tend to more think the collected funds probably get spent at expensive sushi restaurants. Collecting funds show the people all wear a tee shirt announcing it, in case in doubt.

I beleive you can even bury these to a degree. Basically dig a hole, set it up and then cover it up. Foind a web site with them once I could stand a couple on our property,

Yah, I was checking their website and saw that they had bermed them up. That would increase insulation quite a bit as well. They have a 10 year guaranteed lifespan.
