Anybody ever hear them? I saw them on Sound Stage - it comes on after Austin City Limits. Emmee Lou Harris, Patty Griffin, Shawn Something, and Buddy Miller. I was impressed. No one I talked to knows them. Buddy did a "Johnny and Jack song." Johnny Cash and Jack??

They sounded so good I can't believe they aren't well known. Buddy played with Robert Plant and performs with his wife. I got a friend who is really into music, and he had never heard of Buddy.

The four of them are outstanding together. They each took turns with lead vocals and I liked them all. I would think the group would take off and go somewhere. Could be they really aren't pushing, I don't see any tour dates listed.

Emmylou used to play with Gram Parsons, the guy who started the Flying Burrito Brothers. I met Gram once, my cousin was renting a house to him on Laurel Canyon, just a short distance through the pass to Hollywood. Gram was famous, and the nicest guy you could imagine, it just blew me away. I was just a kid, and my cousin told him that I was playing a little guitar, and Gram started talking to me about it seriously, asking me what I was into and stuff, just super friendly right off the bat....never forget it. Standing behind him, were a bunch of young guys with guitars, I think that they had been jamming when we came over, and they were all looking irritated at me down their noses, like who was I to be talking guitar in their midst? The Burrito bros had split up by then, and Gram was associating with a bunch of snotty bastards, or something. I think he was way too good a guy and a musician to be caught up in some bad Hollywood scene, as it appeared. It wasn't long after that he overdosed in some motel in the desert. What a waste.

They all do songs from their own catalogue and support each other on those tunes.
