    Default The Bermy hockey thread...

    Ok, so here it is...
I am the goalkeeper for the Bermuda National team, field hockey.
We had a big tournament here in February, Pan Am Cup, here are some pics for you all, the ones of me are deadly dull and boring 'cos I'm covered from head to toe in foam and plastic, but some of the action shots should prove pleasing for you fellas...as I said fit women in short skirts

    Very cool !
Interesting how a limited gene pool and a limited labor force seem to be so closely related.

Do some people shoot at the goalkeeper and not the net...? Pretty challenging, I would imagine.

That's a strange stick you have. It's looks better for clobbering people.

Most of them shoot for the open spaces, or go for a deflection right in front of you, the secret is to cover the angles and close them down, every now and then one comes straight at you, that's easy...its the diving and reaching and sliding and stuff that keeps them out...if you're quick enough.
The stick is wiggly to give a higer profile and stopping area, especially for when you dive and reach out. It still had to pass though a 2" ring to be legal.
