Makes sense Kyle. I did commercial construction and it was rare we had a job site that was longer than 4 months. That one with the lattice crane was a hospital that took 2 years for the iron. Done in phases of course.

What Kyle said. There is no wide flat area for the winds to push heavily on. I was only around one once. The op referred to it as a cable crane( cables control the structure ). They're not as common anymore.

Gotta push it. Also need to learn when to say no. I've gotten away with what most would call stupid shit many times but it was all calculated and I knew it would would withcthe given variables. My boss forced us to back out of a crane pick like that once. The crane op and I were both confident...

The guy that forgets to charge his sena only does it once. Mine has died on long hours and I'll rob the battery from someone and boy do they hate it.

Paul I would be interested in seeing this if you could pm me a link please. All rigging entices me. Especially when it's out of the normal.

It would be a hell of a lot better than carrying it outta the back yard by hand.

Fairly wet here as well. I would hope that's enough cribbing. I get leery around foundations. When I did construction we caved a basement in while backfilling with a skid steer. Super tight site you have there Paul. Wish I had that crane with me today

LOTS OF CRIBBING on that side. Spread the weight. Hoping its dry and cold there Paul

That's tight. Is there a basement under that part of the house? That's just tight.

I like that Butch. That's a great idea. It would change with load and all but a change while static would could alert that something is wrong

Looks like you're working at a big radius there. That would bother me when out like that. I have very little crane experience though. Just seemed the operator was a bit more on edge when stretched out like that.

Nice looking rigs you got there. I'm jelous of that crane. Best of luck to ya.

I agree. I like them to float away also. Takes experience on the operating end to get that right though

Good luck and congrats. Get some time in on the controls moving stuff around before putting someone at risk. I got to move forms for a day with a crane and the operator standing there guiding me through it. It's not to tricky but no one was ever close to the dangerous end of it and we were well...
