Thanks. I'll see if my shop can get me info on it.

I'd love a part number or pic of that. Because I already have Stihls 'big dog' kit on mine that comes with the wrap handle and the bottom dog curves up at a crap angle. I know the 460 is done, I've got a 461 and it's been a great saw so far but I honestly don't know if the weight increased...

    Isn't a 460 the same or slightly lighter than a 441? And more cc/power.

We definitely tend towards the thick bark here. The big double dogs are all I run, wraps too. I've run wraps so long now that I find a 1/2 wrap dangerous to use because when I turn the power head and reach for the handle that isn't there you are dangerously close to the action end of the saw.

I gave my modded 361 a real good chance to earn a spot on the truck but alas it's a benchwarmer. The crap dogs available in that size of saw are a factor for me too. The way the bottom dog curls up instead of sticks out drives me batty. I'd love to meet the genius that designed that, I'm...

As to the 880. Can any of the gurus confirm this unlimited 441 is it, coil change? Does it work? Is it worth it? Can the 880 take the revs?

I just meant espescially residentially because generally you're no to packing far or really cutting all that much anyways.

To a point. I don't run anything smaller than a 46 myself, besides a 200. For me it reaches a point that I'd rather just have the power than the weight savings. Espescially residential work.

Ok I figured from your original post that maybe a 441 was your biggest saw, I'd have been running a 395 over that 441 in that giant wood for sure.

It's a knuckle dragger for sure. But not bad once you've hoisted it around a bit.

Yah I wondered if it was just giving that 'impression' because it was so new, like just burning off the bits of dust/oil that it may have shipped with. It's sure satisfying to lean into. I tell yah, there's no replacement for displacement. I think this saw will pay for itself on bigger...

My 880 only has a tank through it, but it seems to really heat up too while cutting cookies. Have you done a lot of milling with yours Jay?

I'll be interested to hear the responses. I just got a new 880 yesterday. My first. If you don't have one already I'd say you'll get a lot more use out of a 660. I have two and one's ported by Ed Heard, that saw isn't being gained on much by the 880 in 3' cottonwood rounds my employee and I...
