    For perspective, I used to sell a lot of firewood. We had a deal with Asplund, they would drop in our lot when in the area, and we would take what they gave us! We would sort and cut the wood, then split it, trying to make 1/3 of it hard wood and sold it for $50 a face cord. It wasn't a bad gig...

    The best advice I ever heard was "Keep your day job until you are making more, regularly, on your side jobs and you are getting too busy to keep your day job!" Survive on what you make now, use the side jobs to build up and get the equipment you need, then use what you have to get what you want!
