I'm loving my HH. Especially on removals as it suits my style well. I struggled with the beeline intially, but now it's broken in a little it functions OK. I have also tried ice-tail & a couple of different 8mm cordages. With the exception of the ice-tail, which I did not like, any good...

Did not perform reliably with the PI. I must say that the rope is quite smooth due to it's use with a lock-jack. Perhaps If I had given it more time to break it in, It might have performed better, but with my level of inexperiance with srt I needed a positive grab with the hitch. I will give you...

Someone needs to hide that wraptor for a few days.... ;) It's not just the initial ascent just the spready habit of alot of the trees I work. I set the H-H with the cordage tied around the biner , but by keeping the stopper knots below the dogbone it, for me is just an exercise in compliance I...

That's cool Paul A quick bit of feed-back on the H-H; The system itself is a joy to use & tends & switches from ascent to descent seamlessly. It fuctions well both with a single line & when used with traditional dDrt. I love the way it "responds" by giving more friction when a greater force...

I have used it for a week or so & yes, there is sit-back, but it also self-tends well & grabs reliably. Like most things in life, you compromise good & bad to your preferences & strengths.

there might be regional differences in names, but it is NOT a VT. I think Stig has it nailed :)

I think the hitch is a french prussic. The VT has wraps then braids.

It would also be nice to work out a configuration with the wraptor where you attach the HH on the line & just have to disconnect the wraptor at the TIP & go to work on the same rope . No changeover . Would be a good selling point & tie the 2 products together. Am I making sense?

If it was rated for a single person srt - that would be the same rating as 2 people dDrt? Regarding sharing of a load over 2 legs of rope or a single line etc. If the figures match (which they should) it's down to the caveats.

Sounds like a mole hill not a mountain. Would strips of weld or something similar inside to HH running 90deg to the rope work. Points of contact as opposed to the larger piece of metal. May effect the heat distribution in a positive way

Cool Paul. When you get around to it post me one to the UK. Your experiance with the wraptor has made you wise

Not true. Wear on a small area does create edges & profiles not favourable to run cordage over. Fig of 8's being a good example

I see the logic with regards to the steel biners. The continuous test would be advisable & help with credibility as it would multiply temperatures & pressures beyond normal working peramiters. As a rule i as an inspector am required to retire kit here in the UK when the wear exceeds 10%. Not a...

I would specify a range of binders I.e 1 steel & 1 alloy You expect wear on the device / biners to be an issue
