haha...no kitchen yet. But you are right about a place out of the weather. Cold wet days it's nice to have a place to secure/protect gear...or just dump it and lock it up til it can be dealt with once the weather breaks.

I usually use an all in one weight...try to not have to change bags or add weight. Habit....I'll try shooting light bag and get it down then switch to 16 oz...may be more efficient. I do use a trailer...went from a 5x8 to a 7x16. I am really liking using the trailer. It also houses my dive...

Around here it was usually about 15-18 bike pumps max for shots...with that 16oz bag. When a TIP is in dense stuff or tight it could take 6-8 shots sometimes (usually one or two but stuff happens). The bike pump gets old then. Maybe the new will rub off and make me crazy...we'll see. For...

That's the kind of idea I was hoping to have thrown my way. How did they power the air cond. compressor?

Not a clue...I would have to measure. I guess that relates to Ruel's question about it being homemade. Ruel, that is one of the first of what I think of a Gen. 2 (or 3) maybe of the APTA. I think Dave and I were one of the original folks to support Nick Bonner as he got the APTA started. I...

Nick, I told you I was thinking of using a scuba tank for charging the APTA. My son is a firefighter and takes care of their AirPacs for their department. He told me to be patient and he would see what he could come up with. Here are pictures of what I am using for remote site APTA use. Up...

Deva....look back at post #180....on Nov. 15, 2015 of this thread...it shows some pictures of the green laser holder I am using...bamboo. Simple to start with...anything slightly bigger than the laser will contain it. I have cardboard to brace it securely in the boo...and an index mark at the...

    TreeStuff - APTA - Wow!

It will be worth the wait...don't forget the green laser. With your high TIP's out there it will make a difference. I use a small piece of bamboo taped to the end of my APTA for the laser holder for mine...basic and crude but it works. Cardboard is the shim that keeps the laser snug. I...

Nick said ring down was more accurate because it kept the bag from flipping mid flight...more longer/better aerodynamic with ring down.

It is....the butterfly valve is smoother/easier to operate. I had the ball valve and replaced it with the b'fly valve from TreeStuff. I only use the APTA now...my homemade BS is "out to pasture" now.

    TreeStuff - APTA - Wow!

I am always very aware of the throw line when I shoot the APTA...I am sure it could break a finger if the line caught it...maybe even snap/cut it off. Throw line is like a garotte when the ball leaves the APTA. Once the line is up in the tree and running down the other side I will grab the...

Nick....I have an order ready to send for some TreeStuff...hitch cord, rake gauge, throwline, etc. Is the butterfly valve something I can add to the order? What is the status of those valves?

Correction...the housing for the laser is a piece of bamboo...old school linked with new school. And my ramrods that stays with the APTA is bamboo, too..marked on both ends to let you know worn the bag is completely down barrel. Ill get pictures soon.

Cool, Nick.thx for heads up. Sean...DMc and I have both got lasers installed. His is with a real rail mount, I think...not screwed to barrel bit cable tied. I have a small cardboard tube taped to barrel...I have a TreeStuff green laser I use. I slide laser into tube, set the hair bungee from...
