This morning my mate with the upgrade kit cut through a black iron bark fast enough to give my 346xp a run for its money. He was using semi chisel and it didn't bog down at all

I prefer huskys and really want the 540 to be good but I would have to say the 201 is far more reliable. The husky 540 is good but the auto tune has a way to go. I can understand a climber only want 201 at the moment. They are simple and work

My understanding of carbs is that they don't deliver a linear fuel/air mixture throughout the throttle position therefor a different carb may have a different fuel/air delivery curve.

I was told 600 rpm increase with.the new kit. My dodgy eBay tacho shows about a 450 rpm increase

I was also told the new 201s are being manufactured with these bits The coil is still rev limited

Got one to try $50 in Australia It's a new carbie, new throttle link, new flywheel which is slightly bigger, and a new coil which give another 600 rpm. The photo is the kit part number from Stihl I'll try and get more photos after work
