    Grapple Saws!

Haven't updated this thread in a while! The grapple saw is beyond awesome in terms of productivity and comfort while doing tree work. It's also great for doing tree work safely at night, a week ago I spent 30 minutes or so getting a fallen tree out of a business's parking lot before they...

Oh yeah, I'm pretty happy with my current setup. Storm cleanup will be ridiculous!

    Grapple Saws!

Update: The grapple saw is at least everything I thought it would be and then some more. I've cut some whole trees over 20" in diameter without issue. I haven't tried grabbing any (over ~2') large logs yet to see how it will handle that, but under 2' is gravy. The grapple tines are...

Was it a Mecanil grapple? If so, I know the fellow. I'm a dealer for Mecanil as well.

It needs 8-10gpm as a minimum, 12gpm+ is recommended. You do not need or want high flow for the grapple, ~25.5gpm is about the max.

I'm going to be offering it set up to run on a skid steer universal mount! Like I've said, the same grapple can be used on a plethora of carriers!

I don't disagree, Jay, but my machine is a dang handy size, and it was handling the Small enough to haul with the stump grinder in my dump trailer, which is the reason I haven't upgraded to an 8 ton machine.

The grapple and rotator list for $26.3k, the hanger is to be determined. The grapple comes with 2 extra blades and chains, as well as the bleed valve with a shut off valve. The excavator runs in the mid $70s, although you could run it on a size class smaller or a couple classes bigger.

    Grapple Saws!

Hard on the grapple? No, it's made for it. The grapple has a work relief port for the grapple tines and the tilt cylinder. If either go over pressure while in use, the work relief (pressure relief valve inline with the cylinder's line) the relief will open and the grapple will open or tilt...

    Grapple Saws!

This is a ridiculous setup! We cut, turned, and windrowed 75 trees in an hour yesterday. Turning them the same direction for chipping. <iframe width="853" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/n7GWS1OC4g4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I have to investigate further, but there is a quick connect to go between your existing rotator and both grapples. Then it's just two lines, one bolt, and you only swap the grapple, not the whole rotator.

Depending, 1 bolt, 4 hoses. The hoses could have quick connects. The grapple open line has to have a bleed valve installed, but after it's installed, it can be cut off or on with the included quarter turn valve. You would close it for running a normal grapple. With the loader you could reach...

    Grapple Saws!

Put my first three hours on mine today! It will change how I do tree work for sure. I'm a dealer of both the GMT035 and the Mecanil felling grapple saws... new to them but very excited! <iframe width="853" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/cUlp8xpGXI8" frameborder="0"...
