I think so. You are supposed to remove the top half of the cover "every 6 months" and scoop out old grease, put in new grease, there are no zerks with which to grease the bearing. I've never done it. Thinking of having it done soon though. After which the bearing will probably go bad;)

FWIW, in my experience those bearings are MURDER to get off, torching and banging the frig out of them is SOP, even by expert mechanics. I would talk to morbark, the dealer is being a punk.

Good call. They hardly need grease in the 45 hrs, imo.
