I ran the 201 on 2 nasty removals yesterday. It's finally breaking in nicely now. I've been running it a tad rich. Going to tweak it tomorrow and try to get a side by side video with a 200. Got to get 2 new chains first.

Modded its a pretty good saw. I still feel like the chain speed is down vs the 200. But that could be perception. I havent timed any cuts.

Have you considering shipping them off to the builder from arboristsite? If not I'll be happy to see if I can get it running better. Pm me.

. I richened up my low jet from day one. Could it be an ethanol induced problem??

Jay I agree 100 percent. I haven't used it out of the bucket much. I guess I should try that.

Just unscrew the bolt that holds it in. It's nothing like the 200's, it's just a mesh screen. Might take a flat head to pop it loose.

No soldering. All I did to mine was take a dremel and a long reamer and open up the outlet. Guy at AS just drilled a hole behind the screen. Right into the side he then adjusted the plastic to accommodate the new port. Bare bones either option. I didn't like the idea of melting the plastic...

You have to turn the low screw down to get rid of the hesitation. I was not impressed with mine the first few tanks of gas. But I kept at it and like a switch was flipped it perked up nicely. Then the muffler mod made it even better. I ran it all day today on a large removal. I will...

There is a pin that has to be drilled out. Pull the carb and you will see it clear as day.

The dude from Arborist site was offering to mod them for 50$. I had to tune my l jet to get the throttle response I wanted in stock form. It seemed to have a flat spot just off idle from the dealer.

Ran the modded 201 today. Put 2 tanks thru. It doesn't scream like a 200 but I feel it has loads more torque. It took me nearly 1 hr and 4 trees to run a tank of gas out. Nonstop cutting!! I don't ever remember getting that kind of milage on a 200.
