I won't mock someone that does carry one though. If a small mechanical device under their coat that will protect them from criminal harm makes them feel good, that should be respected. I won't mock a woman with a rape whistle or pepper spray. It's peace of mind for that person. After all, when...

I don't carry one because I feel safe in the community and region I live in. It would be a pain in the butt to lug one around. If I lived in a place where crime and violence were more of an issue I might carry one just to ensure I didn't become a victim.

I feel as though open carrying fuels the fire of anti gun folks. Why do it? I won't hide that I am a sportsman for anyone. But I won't display a firearm right in strangers faces. It makes some people uncomfortable. That's their problem. Until they invest themselves into anti gun campaigns. Then...

My point wasn't to bash workers in the slaughterhouse. I support any honest hard work. I'm mocking the type that thinks game killed by a hunter is cruel, and that the filet they had with dinner last night came from a cow that died happily in its sleep at a slaughterhouse somewhere. People like...

Watch how a lot of slaughter houses kill livestock and it'll make a centerfire rifle bullet look very humane.

The weird part about coyotes, and science has proven this, is that the harder they are pressured, the more successfully they breed.

A dog needs a few tools. A stapler, pliers, and something to clot blood.

She split the vein on the underside of her ear. I'm assuming a briar or a stick. That was a mild picture. I didn't post a graphic photo. It scared me and she was wobbling hard by the time I got her to the truck and managed to get it to clot.

Been hunting a bit. Shot a lot if grouse and pheasant this fall. Only a few woodcock. New pup is developing nicely. My old girl Molly continues to make my smile and make memories ill never forget. Had a scary incident a long ways from the truck. She split the vein in her ear and I couldn't...

The majority of Americans cant properly identify a bald eagle let alone sort out wild canines. But tell them that one is a wolf, well, then its becomes majestic. Tell them the other is a coyote and they call a game warden.

It happens. Coyotes don't always have a way to instantly kill their dinner, if dinner comes in a large form like deer or livestock. They usually work from behind in the blind spots because a hoof injury to their jaw will cause them to starve to death. So they work the blind spots. Unlike a bear...

The population spiked high for awhile here a few years back. Lots of them. The houndsmen trimmed the numbers down and I believe we have a lot less then we did. I see more foxes now. For awhile we had almost no foxes. The coyotes really wiped them out.

An unpleasant journey for a day, for sure. But I'm most likely the most pleasant human that coyote will ever encounter. Coyotes here are hunted, chased, trapped, snared, and randomly shot at with no mercy. Always been that way. Since white folks showed up here. So before you chastise me, know...

Nope. It won't be in with hounds. He will be released in the wild, and a short time later, a hound pup will be dropped on his trail. The pup had no experience, and won't go far. An introduction really. The coyote, will live. Trapped fur bearers here in America end up in women's coats. I did that...
