two parts you may know...
A distel can adust well sometimes without a hitch minding pulley, if you put the tail through the biner.
VT is sensitive to leg length. Are you using a fixed length cord, or tied?
Just started running my 15' 5/8" SC flipline on a distel, with tail though the biner for tending, rather than a pulley (thanks Burnham). I might get a 3/4" flipline next-time. The beeline is the cuttable link. I didn't so much like the sling connector from D-to-mechanical adjuster.
