A floating ascender might make a better rope advancing tool over a pantin on the ankle, when spurring up with a pre-set high TIP.
Those clip-in points are slick. Ergonomic. Loading the foot relatively evenly, rather than torqueing the ankle as with a foot ascender.

Nick, what about torque on the ankle, knee, and hip from that side mount? I was using my rope walker a crazy amount the other day end-weight reducing a fir, and could feel the asymmetrical loading over time.
