It's not the avability of parts, it's the people ordering. My local shop always orders wrong.

My local stihl dealer doesn't know much, they are lost when I ask for a filter for a 038. :(

I have an annoying issue with dust getting sucked between the filter and carb. Grease didn't work. I'll try some paper gasket next. A good soak in cleaner and a blow out brings it back, but it sucks how much it happens. Every 3rd tree or so.

I'm kinda in a bind. Fooling with a 290 is eating too much time, most I have is a few times a month to drop a 22"+ spar, usually not longer than 15ft, then chunk it up. I don't work on any trees that I need anything more than my climb saw in the tree. No 044/440/441's are around this area...

Going to look at a 038 AV super pro tomorrow, anything to watch out for?
