Personally, I would be adamant that Morbark take the POS back, and give you a new machine...full redress. You can always settle for less, (like financial compensation), but at least start from a strong position. It might be helpful if you smash a fingernail with a hammer in order to properly...

So far you have been given the royal run-around by your dealer, so I would want that guarantee in writing.

If the new expensive bearing you install lasts only 50 or "X" amount of hours, the dealer might very well say that you screwed up the install. Just sayin'
