I have some pretty nice 5.8+ routes I could show you. I'll lead everything.....plus I can drag anyone up anything most times. Heck, some of my most favorite routes are well below that grade. Like the North Ridge of Table Rock (5.5)...any monkey with a shovel could climb that.

off to see "free solo" this afternoon. Still can't believe honored soloed free rider. Its supposed to be excellent film
before the advent of "maxi pads" we had to climb down off everything we bouldered.....no one jumped. Hence why grades have gotten harder for sure. Was strictly viewed a training for actual climbing. I enjoy bouldering but avoid shit that will result in serious injury these days.

you need a lot of holds so you don't get bored. Play a game with kids called "add a hold". kinda like horse......last climber to pull all the moves in a row wins
wall is adjustable with boat winch.....chains for back up. You can make it so steep no one can do it...lol
not a good comparison to real rock. Use it as a training tool. Don't fool yourself that your a "pro" with gym ratings.
getting on the sharp end of a rope is where its at.
