    I would add that we often run stuff to get it through undergrowth/lower branches, but when that goes wrong it's awkward rather than dangerous.

    It's been said a thousand times, but it's still true. The best groundies/rope men are ex/current climbers.

    I have a couple of guys I use regularly, one will not let stuff run, the other is pretty good, self rigging helps. Otherwise just go smaller.
