He could just as easily be off to the side and walking normally today.
As it goes had a sliding doors moment today.
As part of a bigger job, I had a 18/20 ft dead oak spar to take down today, surrounded by shrubs I put on the spurs and flip line and thought I’d run up and knock a few bits off.

As I understood it it was one tree hung up in another with a hung up branch that did for Jed.
But yes, point taken, even the best can have fate chuck a curve ball at you.
It’s great to be able to do it, without having to do it to pay the bills.
I hope to give up running my own show/climbing trees in 3 years, then, for a year or three, just do days on the ground/drive a machine for others for beer money.
The hanging/stowing thing is an issue I struggle with.
I’m a hanger by instinct, cos that’s how I learnt.
My nephew is a stower for the same reason.
I sometimes try to habituate myself to stowing, it rarely lasts.

Well it was an interesting exercise, but If there wasn’t a better way of doing that then I wouldn’t do it.
Loading all the wood (and sawdust) by hand is mind blowing.
