At least the HO was smart enough to realize his "cabling" job wasn't quite up to snuff. Those were some nasty gnarly canopies. Were they topped many years ago?
I've had an over-enthusiastic crane operator start lifting a piece when I was only about half way through the cut. It'll barber-chair like crazy but since its attached to the crane, where is it going to go? I just cut faster to catch up with it.
I'll have to agree with Butch on this. I've done a couple hundred crane jobs and nearly every pick is a stand up. I'll occasionally do a long horizontal limb with two attachments but it's not for lack of room to stand it up; more so because I was worried about it breaking loose before it got to...
