    I don't use a saw lanyard, but if I did, it would have a weak link somewhere that would break with enough force yet still be strong enough to hold the saw.

    Not a small cut, for sure. Make it as deep as possible w/o pinching the bar.

    I'll put as deep a kerf undercut as possible, then nip the sides as deep as possible, then go full rpm cutting down from the top... POP!
