Hey Chris, your post is the first I've seen about using both HH & RW. Would you consider posting some comparative pro & con of each? Are there some jobs best suited to one over the other? ... Or, do they both perform virtually the same across-the-board?

Paul, Dave, and others, what is the wear pattern like on the hitch cord after repeated descents? Or, is it too soon to tell? I've got high hopes for this tool.

I agree, B ... save you the trip. I tied it and you're right it is a double overhand that hasn't been "collapsed completely." It's an undressed {naked} double overhand. :lol:
This a wonderful thread. It should be noted, here, that combining dissimilar metals raises issues with galvanic corrosion and coefficients of thermal expansion. Those issues are quite manageable and need to be factored into the design.
