    Rule Number One (Climber Down)

IMO, I think the climbing is fine, but those random sudden stops that can occur may just put a good amount of pain into the mix. I saw him today. He itchin to get back to work.

    Rule Number One (Climber Down)

He has been testing the waters a little. Basically said he doesn't have the strength or endurance to do much. Slow and steady.

I picked Jimmy up last wed. When I went to see my hand specialist. He's upright and walking around, probably taking more chances than necessary, but doing ok. The drawing was a few weeks ago. I thought Adrian posted it here. Hmm

One day left before the raffle. Thank you to everyone that has contributed.

I am not going to get started on the profits of insurance companies. Sean, I would think maybe a month out to make sure everybody has the opportunity to get tickets. Ultimately it's up to Adrian who is MIA at JAMBO.

AFAIK, Jim applied immediately for everything he could. Kick in the balls I tell ya. Thanks Sean.

Well, the powers that rule have decided to boot Jimmy from the hospital based on no Ins. This also means no rehab at all until the ins is approved, maybe first week of July. That puts him at his apartment with no help unable to walk or cook. This country is so frigged. He has a few friends that...

    Rule Number One (Climber Down)

I saw Jimmy Friday. He's doing pretty well considering his accident. It was a busy day there, so we just talked mostly. Another close friend stopped in yesterday and helped with a little walking. Day by day!
  9. Husabud

    Rule Number One (Climber Down)

I think there will be some revived enthusiasm when the raffle gets started I a day or two. His bills will be huge! The paperwork for Medicare/caid and SS disability is already submitted as I know it.

    Rule Number One (Climber Down)

Unfortunately, no. He picked up a side gig and they wanted it done before a child's birthday party. I'm not sure if he was rushing or not, but that is always a factor.

    Rule Number One (Climber Down)

Money isn't everything. Since he's gonna be laid up a bit, I bet he'd love one of your books Ger. I'm heading to see him tomorrow. I guess he is in an inclined position and had a few visitors today. I agree that a basal tie can be safe, it's the second tie in that is crucial no matter what...

    Rule Number One (Climber Down)

I agree Paul. Access only with a basal tie. Change it up to a canopy anchor when you get there. Either way, never skip the second tie in. Jimmy is recovering from his surgeries. He lost about half his blood due to internal bleeding at the site. The second surgery was to repair the burst fracture...

    Rule Number One (Climber Down)

After I watched someone stick a saw in their calf two weeks ago, I have made sure to hit the brake after every cut. Generally I am tied in twice. Now it will be for every cut no matter what.

    Rule Number One (Climber Down)

In my opinion rule number one as a climber is always two points of tie in. Ddrt or SRT it doesn't matter, you need to be tied in twice to save your ass in the event of an accident. This past wed, one of newest members, Jimmy Stoddard (who has yet to post), cut his down line on a basal anchor...
